Los Angeles is mourning the loss of beloved NBC LA reporter Eliana Moreno and helicopter pilot George Marciniw after their chopper crashed Tuesday night.

Two of the people killed in Los Angeles on Tuesday in a helicopter crash were a journalist and pilot who had flown hundreds of hours together since they first teamed up in 2023.

“All of our colleagues didn’t know at first and it is remarkable how people come together,” he said during the broadcast.
